Singer, Songwriter, and producer, Lenny Kravitz released his 9th studio album back in August 2011 and the track “Superlove” was the 8th listed track on the Black and White America album. What better way to kick off his debut into electronic dance music with one of the most sought after DJs, producers, and remixers other than Avicii! The young Swede premierd his space mix of Lenny Kravitz’s “Superlove” at one of the largest stages around the world, Ultra Music Festival.
Back to back, we were presented with not one, but two huge tracks in the beginning of Avicii’s UMF 2012 set. First was his official remix of “Girl Gone Wild” by Madonna, and the second track was “Superlove” by Lenny Kravitz. This only reaffirms the ability to cross mix genres of music that was once thought incompatible with one another, which was showcased in The Grammy’s idea of the RE:Generation Music Project where we saw everything from rock, jazz, r&b, classical, and country blended with different genres of EDM. With Avicii’s Space Mix of “Superlove” we are presented with sick chord progression and synths layered on top of Lenny Kravitz’s vocals, followed by a drop that will get the masses moving at any music event. Take a listen to the preview Avicii uploaded to his SoundCloud below!
