UK Tech-Trance giant Simon Patterson is by no means new to the world of Electronic Dance Music. Originally gaining notoriety through his trance project with Richie Kayvan producing songs under the Dogzilla moniker (2003-2008), Patterson has been delivering high-energy, 140+ BPM tracks for years now under his personally imprinted Night Vision Records. Simon’s latest work Northern Lights brings his signature, pounding sound with some subtle vocals to top it off.
If there’s anyone who really loves his fans, it’s this guy right here. While he’s gathered quite the loyal following over the years, Simon openly acknowledged that this one won’t please everyone. As a result, he’s planning to release a dubbed non-vocal version of this track later on. While his slower tech track So What (released in March) received mixed reviews from his fanbase (though I’d argue it’s certified gold), Simon assured his fans that he isn’t deviating away from his sound – but really just experimenting a little bit like every artist needs to do once in a while.
Check out this track, due out on Night Vision later this month, and let us know what you think!
