The latest release on the Anjunabeats label by Mat Zo is titled The Sky featuring Linnea Schossow. One of the trance scenes latest icons, Mat Zo is suiting up to go on tour with none other than THE Porter Robinson. Porter’s “The Language Tour” beginson June 11th in Reno, Nevada at the Knitting Factory and commences on July 13th in Detroit at Elektricity. With a total of 30 consecutive stops it’s sure to be a blast. Unfortunately, Mat Zo will only be joining Porter for 27 of those days. The release of “The Sky” follows his release of “The Bipolar EP” back in February, which gained a lot of support from acclaimed peers A-Trak, Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Steve Aoki, and Arty. Nonetheless, his four track EP was an instant hit among fans around the world.

The Sky is a release featuring the extended and club mix of the track. One, more trance-y in feeling while the other delivers a nice progressive upbeat sound. “A dancefloor killer and musical journey rolled into one, the extended mix of “The Sky” builds elegantly with a symphony of synths and leads into a sweeping breakdown full of warm melodies and Schossow’s distinctive, searching tones. Lifting off with an epic thrust on the drop, “The Sky” is a classy, crossover anthem that brings together elements of house, progressive and trance into a unique blend.” For those of you who attended Group Therapy in Miami you probably heard this track drop in Mat’s set. Whether or not you like this release, it showcases Mat Zo’s talent and ability to produce multiple styles of music. Just wait for the last drop in The Sky.. your pants might just fall off!
